All Invited to Special Christmas Events at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church

The community is invited to the special Christmas events at St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Marble Falls.

 


 

A traditional Christmas Eve service at 5:30PM on December 24 in the St. Andrew sanctuary caps off the Christmas celebrations. St. Andrew Presbyterian Church, Marble Falls is located at 201 FM 1431. Come celebrate “Glory to the Newborn King,” a Christmas Musical by composer/lyricist, John Innes performed by a seventeen voice adult and five voice children’s choir, led by Organist/Adult Choir Director Edee Walters and Children’s Choir Director Susan Stacy on Sunday, December 14, at the 11AM St. Andrew worship service. The traditional Christmas story is heralded anew in narrative scriptural paraphrase and song with duets by Rev. John Brantley and wife Tiffany, as well as Penny Turney and Jim Simmons. Highlights of the performance include a conga drum accompaniment by Renee Kroese to “Glory to God in the Highest,” and American signing by Jonathon Kroese to “Sleep, Holy Child.”

 

The celebration continues with the presentation Tuesday evening, December 16, 7PM, of a play that both children and adults with enjoy, “Once Upon a Christmas Eve: A Modern Day Christmas Nativity Play” performed by children from the community and the church congregation. Appearing in the performance are Jonathan and Evan Kroese, Sammy, Stephen, and Shelby Pearce, Charlie and Hudson Brantley, Tianna Brown, Abby and Emily Dillard, Peyton Jackson, and Tessie Mayes Bowen.
